#FightForWonho: hashtags, countries and statistics (February)

This is the fourth report in which I present the statistics and results obtained in the #FightForWonho hashtag campaign, which started on November 1st and continues to date. This article will analyze the numbers obtained during the month of February.
This report will be different from the previous ones for a couple of reasons. First, it has become a bit tedious to write it in the same format during these four months, so I decided to simplify it so that it would take less time to write it and I think it will also help to find the specific data you want to know faster.
I also made the decision to stop counting the number of tweets for each hashtag. As I mentioned in previous reports, that information was never 100% accurate. Get Day Trends (the site I use for statistics) only reports the approximate number of tweets in those hashtags that became a global trend and registered more than 10,000 tweets.
In addition to that making it impossible to know how many tweets had the hashtags that were only trending in some countries (or even in none), this month I discovered that the number of tweets that the site shows only applies to the excat moment in which the hashtag was a global trend. It does not take into account tweets before and after acquiring that status.
What was strange to me is that I found cases in which, for example, a hashtag had 25,000 global trending tweets, but when it was trending in Mexico it had 30,000. Discovering all those details, along with the fact that there are less and less global trends on which to base my work, made me recognize that the information I can offer of how many tweets were generated this month would be too far from reality. I'm still collecting the number of tweets on global trends, and I'll share some figures only when I'm truly certain they're useful (as in the cases of #WONPOCALYPSE and #HBDToWonho).
Lastly, I want to update that to collect daily hashtags I check the Twitter accounts of Monbebe Entertainment and MX7 Protection Squad. If you would like to delve further into the topic, I recommend the @merebyeoltameni Twitter thread in which she have registered all the hashtags along with their respective promotional images and screenshots of the trends. She also shared the fact that, to date, only 6 hashtags have been repeated.

About Wonpocalypse, 100 days of fighting and Wonho's birthday

On February 1, a dynamic called Wonpocalypse was held, in which people were invited to put the same photo of Wonho as a profile image (the last selfie he shared on Twitter) and to change their usernames to "Monsta X Wonho".
The project was a success and I wish there was some way to know how many people participated in it. In any case, the hashtag #WONPOCALYPSE became a global trend reaching #2 position in the global ranking, it was a national trend in 38 countries and only in the period of time that it was a global trend did it reach an approximate of 401,300 tweets.
On February 7, 100 days of fighting for Wonho were completed. The hashtag #100DaysFightingForWonho reached position 5 in the world trends ranking and was a national trend in 31 countries.
Wonho's birthday was also celebrated in February, remembering that March 1 arrives earlier in Korea while in the other half of the world it was still February 29. In February, 6 hashtags were published to celebrate it. 4 of them became a world trend. The most successful was #HBDToWonho, which was a world trend in position #1, it was a national trend in 50 countries and in the period of time that was a world trend it achieved an approximate of 757,500 tweets.

Campaign for the launch of 'All About Luv'
On February 14, the English album 'All About Luv' was released and for 4 days the 4 daily hashtags were used to support the seven Monsta X members who participated in the album. The #AllAboutLuv hashtag trended in 37 countries.
In total, 16 hashtags related to 'A.A.L.' were used. Although I did not consider them in the total sum of February hashtags as they were not directly related to the #FightForWonho movement, I did keep their statistics because they are also an example of Monbebe's support towards Monsta X's work.
Total world trends: 3
Hashtag that reached the highest position in the ranking of world trends: #AllAboutLuvForWonho at position 28.
Hashtag that was a national trend in the largest number of countries: #AllAboutLuvForWonho in 19 countries.

Other trends that weren’t hashtags
Other spontaneous trends independent of the hashtags, but relevant in the fight, were also presented in February.
- When it was found that Wonho's voice was preserved in 'A.A.L', in Korea the phrase "원호 목소리" (Wonho's voice) began to be used. That phrase became a world trend and it also trended in South Korea. The highest position it achieved in the world ranking of trends was 18th.
- When Starship Entertainment released the 'A.A.L' medley, fans quickly noticed that Wonho's real name was present in the credits for some songs. This is how "HOSEOK LEE" became a world trend, reaching position #7 within the ranking. It was a national trend in 17 countries.
- In a live broadcast in which Shownu read various fan comments, he read one that said, "I miss Honey and Bunny". "HONEY AND BUNNY" became a world trend and reached #7 in the world ranking. It was a national trend in 16 countries.

Additional data
- At least one global trend was achieved every day from November 1 to January 13. This means that 74 consecutive days of world trends were achieved (the lowest position Twitter considers for a world trend is 50).
- From November to January, no new country appeared in the national trends. In February Nigeria joined the list by trending #AllAboutLuv. But since it was not a hashtag directly related to the #FightForWonho movement, I will not pick it up in the list of the 58 countries that have participated to date. In addition to the fact that Nigeria has not appeared in any national trends so far, it makes me wonder if that hashtag could have referenced a different event in the country.
