#FightForWonho: hashtags, countries and statistics (March)

This is the fifth monthly report in which I analyze the results obtained in the #FightForWonho hashtag campaign, which started on November 1, 2019 and continues to date. In this article I will present the statistics obtained during the month of March.
In the previous post, I explained the changes I made compared to reports from previous months, such as why I no longer post the approximate number of total tweets. If you are interested in learning a little more about my methodology, I invite you to review that report.
I collect the hashtags from the Twitter accounts of Monbebe Entertainment and MX7 Protection Squad, and to get the data I use the GetDayTrends site. If you would like to delve further into the topic, I recommend the @merebyeoltameni Twitter thread in which she has registered all the hashtags along with their respective promotional images and screenshots of the trends.
In addition to the strategy of the 4 daily hashtags (2 in English and 2 in Korean), in this report I will also break down the data obtained with the hashtags with which it was celebrated that Wonho was released from the charges against him, the return of Joohoney to Monsta X and the 100 million views in the music video for 'Hero'.

Hashtags and participating countries

From March 1 to 31:
Total hashtags posted: 129 (I did not take into account the hashtags that were used to celebrate Joohoney's return. I considered those aside and I will explain them later in this article.)

World's trending hashtag with the most tweets (approximate): #WonhoIsAlmostHome with 757,500 tweets

Wonho was released from the charges against him
On March 13 (March 14 in South Korea) news broke that Wonho had been released from the drug charges. After a 5-month investigation, the police found no evidence against him, thereby proving his innocence.
In celebration of this news, 6 different hashtags were used:
  • #WonhoIsAlmostHome
  • #OneStepCloserToWonho
  • #디스패치 _ 사과 해 (Apologize Dispatch)
  • #WONHOISFREE
  • #WonhoIsCleared
  • #WonhoIsClearParty

The first 3 were the most successful, becoming a world trend in the 1st, 3rd and 3rd positions respectively. #WonhoIsAlmostHome had a total of approximately 348,800 tweets during the time it was a global trend. #OneStepCloserToWonho had an approximate of 162,600 tweets and #디스패치 _ 사과 해, 37,400 tweets. Both during the time that they were a world trend.
A fun fact that I couldn't leave out happened on March 23, when it was discovered that the TwoTuckGom online store resupplied some Bebegom products. That day the #MEBAÑOPORWONHO (I shower for Wonho) hashtag became a trend in Mexico and Argentina, since Latino fans claimed that this was a sign that Wonho would return to Monsta X that same day, so they decided to shower and dress up to receive him. Even several users shared photos of how they put on makeup and put on dresses, although it was almost midnight in Latin America.

100M views on ‘Hero’
When the ‘Hero’ music video finally reached 100 million views (making it the most watched Monsta X MV), #Hero100MForMX7 became a national trend in 26 countries and reached 3rd place in the world trends ranking. It had an approximate number of 91,800 tweets during the time period that was a global trend.

About Joopocalypse
On March 25, the dynamic Joopocalypse was held, in which users were invited to use the same profile photo of Joohoney to celebrate their return to Monsta X. #JOOPOCALYPSE was a national trend in 24 countries and reached 2nd position in the world trends ranking. It had an approximate amount of 102,300 tweets.
